TESTIMONIALS
I have been studying with Debbie for 5 years and from the day that I enrolled on a 6 week course I knew my life was going to change. What started as a desire to learn how to make my own silver jewellery has turned into a modest business that I love. Debbie’s teaching methods are based on her own excellent skills and qualifications and has enabled many students to benefit from them – she is truly inspirational.

I started doing Debbie’s class in September 2010 after seeing an advertisement locally. I can honestly say that I have loved every minute of it. Debbie encourages you to bring your designs to class and she then teaches you the skills required to create the jewellery you’ve designed. It is amazing how she manages to teach her students to master techniques and equipment so as to create stunning pieces of jewellery right from the start. Rather than having to follow a set syllabus the classes enable you to develop your own individuality and style. Classes are small and friendly. Everyone works at their own speed and level which means that there is a great variety of creative skills and ideas. I am currently spending a lot of my time caring for my elderly parents so the class has become a special time when I can concentrate on something else. Debbie has been extremely supportive and patient. With Debbie’s guidance I have been able to make rings, pendants, earrings and brooches that I am proud of and I have also benefitted from seeing the wonderful work of some of her other students. I have made good friends at the class and value my time learning from Debbie. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her classes to anyone interested in using and developing their creativity.
Debbie provides a relaxed and friendly environment in which to learn a new skill. Her introductory course is well structured and introduces basic skills in a logical way, and with no more than 4 students in a class everyone gets individual attention.

I would never have guessed that I could so enjoy making myself silver jewellery - and for friends too! Having been refused entrance for art
O-level years ago I am now enjoying doing something practical and creative in a fun place! My friends are asking if they can join in too!
I started Debbie’s six week beginner course in March, and am now on to the next course having produced several pieces with the help of Debbie’s fantastic enthusiasm and guidance. The small group, Debbie’s excellent teaching and professional experience give her students a great insight into silversmithing and jewellery making.

I have attended the Jewellery Workshop as one of Debbie’s students for nearly 2 and half years. I highly recommend Debbie’s workshop for the curious and more focused jewellery lovers out there. Debbie encourages and creates a positive, safe and comfortable environment where, you learn and develop both your technical skills and creative abilities. Debbie will guide, lead and provide challenges which enable her students to fully realise their potential and thrive. As classes are small all levels and abilities are catered for. For me and many others of her students, the Jewellery Workshop is a special little gem which continues to give me so much enjoyment...
An inspiring and supportive atmosphere in which to work and learn which is created by the nature of the teachers encouraging approach. I’m thoroughly enjoying the course and look forward to my Tuesdays!

I have learned so much form Debbie’s classes over the last few years, she really enables students to stretch themselves and develop designs from start to finish. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere, with students sharing ideas and offering feedback and encouragements. I like that when an individual is learning a new process for their piece, Debbie encourages the rest of us to be involved.
I first went to the jewellery workshop for a 6 week beginner’s course as I wanted to learn a new craft/skill. In these 6 weeks Debbie taught us how to use variety of tools and materials and learnt several different techniques. At the end of the 6 weeks we had all made a ring and a pendant which we were all thrilled with. Five years on I’m still attending weekly classes and always learning new techniques and improving my skills.
Debbie is a fantastic teacher, very patient and has given me the confidence to start selling my jewellery. Debbie doesn’t just help with the making side but also the design process and would always discuss ideas, different ways the design can be made and the different techniques that can be used.
I love my Friday afternoons, Debbie has created such a relaxed atmosphere which is the perfect environment to be making jewellery.
Thank you Debbie for all your help and support over the past 5 years.xx
